Cut stems 2-3cm from the base at a 45 degree angle.
Remove any foliage that will fall beneath the water line.
Put your flowers in a clean vase, filled with room temperature water. What worms can you use for your wormery?
Avoid putting flowers anywhere hot, in direct sunlight, or in draughts.
Keep away from fruit and vegetables - these produce ethylene which ages flowers.
Some flowers and foliage are toxic. Keep out of reach of children and animals. Always wash your hands after handling plants.
Keep topped up with water, or better still, replace the water every day or so.
Put the paper in the recycling bin.
Enjoy your beautiful flowers!
